How to Make the Most of a Flight

When it comes to your life, chances are you might be stuck flying every now and then. Maybe it’s a trip daddy bought for you or maybe it’s a vacation away with him for some time alone, either way when it comes to flying the truth is; it may not be fun but it’s a part of life so you mind as well get used to it. Of course, there are a few ways you can make the most of it.

Use it to catch up on work

This is my favorite one. Actually, I’m typing this out right now I’m a flight that is about to take off. A flight can be an awesome way to sit down and focus on your task at hand, without Facebook to distract you. A flight can be a great way to catch up on any work that you’ve been putting off or might not have had time to complete recently.

Unplug

A flight can also be an awesome way to unplug and step away from your phone or computer for a little while. Read that book you’ve been putting off or learn how to knit- whatever low-tech hobby you have; make the most of it and your hours stuck in a plane.

Sleep

I think this is what most people do, isn’t it? Catch up on your sleep during the flight so that when you land, you’re ready to go and you can enjoy your time with daddy to the fullest. Chances are, you’re like most of the people out there and you haven’t had the chance to catch up on your sleep in a really long time, so do it now.

Relax and enjoy yourself

The truth is, when it comes to flying you’re stuck in one place and there is nothing you can do about it. So take the time to relax. Stare out the window at the clouds, learn to meditate, journal, or just watch a movie. Sure it might not be the most productive thing out there, but it’s probably worth it.

Make sure you take care of yourself

It’s honestly so important to make sure that you take care of yourself. Make sure that you have taken the time to eat well and that you’re getting lots of water. Not just buying soda or something at the airport, or worse shitty airport coffee- but that you are actually drinking water (and in turn, eating healthy food instead of crappy airport snacks)

Work on your goals

Have you been putting off working on your goals? A flight is a great time to get your butt in gear and get to work on the goals that are important to you or to start planning how you’re going to work on those goals. Or, if you don’t have any goals, it’s a great time to sit down and actually set goals- both for fun and for work/ your career

Invest in yourself

Speaking of your goals; this is a great time to take away from everyone else and focus on investing in yourself. Write a to-do list, journal about whatever you’re going through, listen to some positive podcast or a self-improvement audiobook, meditate to help your body and your mind relax, or even just color if you think it will allow you to de-stress.
