    Hello SBs & SDs,

    I am a french 38 years old man living near Paris and I have been doing some research for a while on this SD/SB thing.
    I have an incomplete and let’s say inactive profile on seeking arrangement (only using it to have a look once in awhile for a potential SB in different cities & countries) but never found a profile that intrigues me enough to go further. I kinda knew from the start I wouldn’t probably find what I’m looking for in western europe, while seeking profiles on eastern europe seems to be either from escorts or trophy wives wanabee… I was allready starting to feel I would have more chance to meet someone in an airport lounge or similar place, freestyling I think you would say…
    Long story short I might have accidentally “met” a potential SB through a langage app learning. I tried to learn some basic russian via this app which allow you to exchange with a native speaker who happens to want to learn your own language…

    She’s a pastry chef in Saint Petersburg wanting to change her occupation and study medicine next year. We’ve been talking with whatsapp for a little and plan to meet as soon as our visas will be delivered. We have never talked about money but I’d like to help her save for her next project and with travel expanses for a start.
    I might never use any of the sugar vocabulary around her but since we will probably see each other about once a month (unless she chooses to come study here) and I will in the end be a provider (which is quite common there) I will feel like her SD.

    My questions are :

    What money transfer service would you recommend between France/Euros and Russia/Ruble ? Paypal, Venmo (I read an article on allowances here and it seemed interesting enough) or Revolut (currencies transfer seems one of their highlights) ?

    Any particular advice based on experience between western (europe or else) and eastern europe sugar relationships ?

    Thanks in advance

    PS Apologies for my English, I haven’t had the chance to practice for a while

    I’m intrigued about what you couldn’t find in the profiles of ladies from Paris, France or Western Europe. It’s not London, or LA, but there are over 5000 SB profiles within 100 miles of Paris and surely it’s more practical to start your search there rather then 1500 miles away in a country where you need a visa to travel to? Unless Saint Petersburg would have been a regular destination for you anyway? I’ve also seen many profiles of Russian ladies that are already based in western European cities.

    Personally, I wouldn’t recommend any money transfer service until/unless you’ve been in a stable relationship for a few months. You’re going to visit her. Cash is king. Moreso in Russia. You can bring $10,000 in cash into Russia, which I presume would be plenty to cover expenses. Although, you’ll have problems if you try and leave with more than $3000, so declare it on the way in if there’s a chance you’ll be bringing some home.

    Paypal works in Russia. Venmo requires a US based bank account and phone number for both parties.

    Thanks for your answer Inamorato.

    Western Europe, Paris included, don’t lack profiles for sure !
    I’ve researched most major european cities wasting way too much time to actually end up realising western mentality has changed a lot (well mine not so much but in the age range I’m looking at) recently and I don’t think I can relate (I’ve been single and busy on work for awhile now).

    There is certainly out there someone who isn’t covered with tatoos, vegan, yogi, lacking life experience but know-it-all activist, lazy spoiled,… It just looks like most educated people are spoiled here.

    Meanwhile, Katya from SPB has real life experience learnt the hard way but never complains, a solid head on her shoulders choosing for example a short professional formation to find a job anywhere easilly, saving to finance her real ambition to go back in university to become a child psychiatrist. She’s not picky about food, pretty traditionnal and we share similar life values. And yeah, she’s stunning !
    I find it quite refreshing to be honest.
    I’m not gonna lie, I’ve always been attracted to eastern girls but the ones I met until now had allready taken the west mindset…

    Ok cash it is, and paypal in case of an emergency. I found Revolut promising too(especially reagarding currencies use) but not avaiable in Russia yet.

    Thanks

    I get where you’re coming from. I see red, or at least yellow flags in 95% of the new profiles created in my area. However, I think the reality would better than that. Many young ladies are trying to project the image that they think a sugar babe should have, and their personalities underneath are more down to earth. This was certainly my experience a few years ago, and if I was looking now, I’d gamble on taking a few weeks of local M&Gs over trying to start a long distance relationship.

    But good luck and I hope it works out for both of you.

    @inamorato

    Thanks, we’ll see where it goes.
    She’s been trying for a few days now to have me join her in SPB for New Years Eve, to be honest I’ve been sold early on but I might enjoy her efforts a little bit more…

    Actually, I’m almost as enthousiastic about her location as I am about her. I mean I can immagine worse things in life than spending time with an awesome girl in a great city. SPB is the cultural capital of Russia, has a very rich history, beautiful monuments, one of (if not) the best museum in the world, the White Nights Festival,…
    I’m not worried to have to be in this city on a regaular basis as there is so much to do, learn and see.

    Regardless of the distance, if she was living in, say Las Vegas or Dubai I’d find it very depressing !

    If the relashionship doesn’t work I’ll come back as a happy tourist, I don’t think I’ll look for another SB online though. I’d probably try my luck around airports lounges workers, hotel concierges and so on…

    @josieforyou

    I’ve been reading on the forum for a while, including some of your posts, and I can’t really tell if you’re just really missing a good spanking or just teasing (doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive I guess)…

    I’d love to give a hand but, as you might have pointed out, we would not match.

    No hard feelings

    @josieforyou , tatoos, vegan, yogi & lacking life experience are just fine for me. Vive la différence. Lazy know-it-all activists is something I can do without.

    Vegans are fine as long as they are not fundamentalist, evangelical, and feel superior to carnivores. Tattoos are flat out like scribbling on the Mona Lisa with a crayon (unless the woman was already unattractive, then fine whatevs.)

    As for Saint Petersburg in winter, not even for Karen Gillan!
