You’re sitting in bed browsing on the App Store and notice… the Seeking.com app is missing! This isn’t a post-Halloween nightmare, it’s real life and SeekerSupport is back with another blog to explain exactly what went down. Pour yourself a glass of tea because it’s about to get truthful.
Today we’re covering the recent removal of the Seeking App from the Apple App Store. If you haven’t already heard, the Seeking App was recently been removed. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we’re here with the juicy deets.
So, what happened to the app?
We have been working diligently with Apple over the past few months to ensure that our app was within their Terms and Conditions. Unfortunately, a recent ruling by their team resulted in the removal of the app from the App Store. We spoke with Apple, and they informed us that “niche” dating sites where women are looking to meet rich, successful men are no longer allowed in the App Store. Honestly, rude.
We clarified that we are so much more than just sugar dating but Apple made it clear that any site in the rich/millionaire dating category is not allowed on the App Store. We were informed that all related apps will also be removed.
Can I still use the app if I already have it downloaded?
If you already have the app downloaded on your Apple device, then you will still be able to access and use the app. Please note that for the time being, we will be unable to release any new updates to the app. If you are having issues with the app, we recommend using the mobile browser version of the site, it’s actually super functional and looks great.
How can I access the app if I can’t download it?
If you do not already have the app downloaded on your Apple device then you will be unable to download the app. However, a great way to bypass this is to use the mobile browser version of the site. You will have full functionality of the site with the convenience of using your mobile device.
Looking to the Future…
We are working closely with Apple to find a solution that works for both of us and allows the Seeking App to be added back in the App Store. We appreciate your patience at this time while we work through this predicament. Thanks for reading this SeekerSupport update and we appreciate your feedback.
