Winter Date Ideas

Now that winter is in full swing, you may be running low on fun, different date ideas–or just starting to go a little stir crazy. These cute, winter date ideas will warm up your date routine.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

SNOWSHOEING

Most people I talk to have never snowshoed, or even considered it.  If you live in a snowy climate and like to be active, it’s a fun, different way to enjoy winter in ways you probably wouldn’t get to otherwise. It’s always more fun to try something new, which will help you bond more closely on a date.

GO SLEDDING

I can speak from personal experience that there’s no way you can go sledding and not have fun.  There’s no way you can have a bad date when you’re laughing the entire way down the hill, or challenging your POT to a race down. If it’s been years since you’ve done it, I promise you will be surprised how much fun you’ll have!

ICE SKATING

This is a classic winter date for a reason. It’s easy, accessible, entertaining and fun.  Being willing to do things outside of your comfort zone, as well as having a good time, will show your POT a wonderful side to you.

CUTE DATES:

HOT COCOA AND THE SUNSET

If you guys are feeling adventurous, make cocoa at home, or go the easier route and stop at a cafe to order a warm cup.  Find a place that has an awesome view of the winter sunset, bring a blanket, and snuggle up to watch the sun go down.

WINTER LIGHT TOUR

It’s that magical time of year where most cities are festively lit up and look extra-adorable. You can either find a local light tour in your city, or you can take turns showing each other the best lights you’ve found. Not to mention, a lot of cities will do lighted events in arboretums, zoos, parks, etc. Dig around and you could find something amazing.

INDOOR MINI GOLF

It’s always nice to stay in when it gets cold out, and mini-golf allows you to enjoy the indoors while doing something a bit different.

ROMANTIC DATES:

COOKING AT HOME TOGETHER

The smell of fresh food and the teamwork of cooking a dish together are always a sexy combo.  Make sure to leave room for some dessert together.

ESCAPE ROOM

Have you tried this latest date trend? It sounds a little weird, but you get locked in a (large) room that has clues throughout it, and one hour to figure out how to escape. It’s a lot of fun and challenging, and you’ll be able to show your date your brains while you solve puzzles together.

WINE/BEER TASTING

For this date, you can either go to local breweries/wineries and sample from place to place, or go to the liquor store and pick up some choices to sample. Make notes so you can remember your favorites for future reference.

SEXY SCAVENGER HUNT

This will require a little planning on your part, but make 7-10 clues with varying levels of difficulty to hide around your place (or his). It’s fun to watch them try to decipher and find the clues you left them. Make sure your last clue leads to a hidden treasure (like a box with a few lingerie outfits he can pick from for you, some wine, etc.).
