Three Misconceptions About Sugar Babies

There are various long-held beliefs about Sugar Babies and it’s time to put them to rest. So, we’ve decided to tackle what we consider to be the top three biggest misconceptions about SBs. Think we missed any? Let us know in the comments!

Misconception

All sugar babies live a lavish lifestyle while just waiting for an allowance.

Reality

This is completely false. This is a stereotype. Actually, many babies hold down jobs besides sugaring. There are a variety of sugar lifestyles with some being college students and others having families. My own personal experience is that I am a college student with a part-time job. I shop at thrift stores and big sales. I may receive sugar, but I don’t live a lavish lifestyle.

Misconception

All sugar babies are young, college girls trying to pay tuition.

Reality

While many Sugars are younger, a growing number of babies are in their thirties and above. The older babies are liked because they already know what they want and won’t settle for a salt daddy, otherwise known as a scammer or faker. These Sugars know what they want, which is a real SD who knows their worth.

Misconception

Sugaring is akin to prostitution.

Reality

Various sugar relationships don’t involve a romantic relationship at all. Some are just for companionship and mentoring. Babies can often gain valuable networking skills in the Sugar Bowl including loyal friends and supporters. While it is true that there are Sugar relationships that become intimate, there are just as many instances where they do not.

Those are just a few of the most common misconceptions SBs are usually faced with. Hopefully, this blog can help to clear some of these up.
